Dual Credit Failure Policy:
If a student fails the 1st-semester Dual Credit Course:
-
The student will be moved to the corresponding non-dual credit course for the second semester.
-
The student is dropped from the dual credit course.
-
Parents and students will be notified that the failing college grade will be part of their high school and college transcripts.
-
The student may earn 1st-semester credit through Credit Recovery, or the student may try to do grade averaging with 2nd semester to ensure credit for high school credit only for the year.
If a student fails the 2nd-semester Dual Credit Course:
-
The student will be dropped from the dual credit course.
-
Parents and students will be notified that the failing college grade will be part of their high school and college transcripts.
-
If the student’s 1st and 2nd-semester dual averages are passing, then the student is awarded high school course credit for the course. Otherwise, the student must earn 2nd-semester credit through Credit Recovery or enroll in the corresponding 2nd-semester non-dual course during a subsequent year.
