It is time for Kindergarten and 1st grade round-up for students NEW to Keller ISD. Please call to schedule an appointment to register your child NEW to KISD for kindergarten/first grade. We will be scheduling appointments for April 1st – April 5th from 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. On April 2nd we will also take night appointments from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. If you know of any friends or neighbors who will have a Kindergarten student or a 1st grade student who did not attend Keller ISD this year, please pass along this important information. The more people we can have sign-up now, the better we can plan the amount of teachers we will need for next year.

  • Teacher of the Year

We have recently voted on our Freedom Teacher of the Year. Our three finalists this year are Mrs. Harman in 3rd grade, Ms. Iverson our music teacher and Mrs. Stephenson in 4th grade. All three are great teachers and very deserving of the award. Our teaching staff then voted and selected Ms. Iverson as our Teacher of the Year. When you see Ms. Iverson please congratulate her.

  • Casey's Kids Fun Run

The Casey's Kids Program started in 1997 when Janie Casey, a former counselor with the Keller Independent School District, discovered that a student was limiting the number of school days attended per week due to a lack of clothing. It was this student's need that led to Ms. Casey's mission to find a way to fund the clothing needs of students in need district-wide. Named in Janie's honor, the Casey's Kids Fun Run began as an effort to provide clothing and has now expanded to include other items such as school supplies and household needs. Funds are distributed to these families by KISD counselors.
