    KISD CTE is Proud to present over $50,000 in CTE Scholarships!

    Multiple businesses and community members are excited to support the CTE Department's mission of providing post-secondary opportunities for Keller ISD graduates.  In collaboration with the Keller ISD Education Foundation, the CTE Department is launching the 2019 Scholarship Initiative for students that are completing a CTE pathway and are pursuing post-secondary options in their areas of interest. We are proud to announce that we will be presenting over $50,000 in scholarships this May to eligible CTE students across Keller ISD.  

    Students, to access the application be sure you are signed into your KISD google account and then go to google.classroom.com. Use the code iqoikr6 to join our course.
    Once in the course, go the classwork section to complete the application.

    2019 KISD CTE Scholarship Opportunities 

    Open – $2,000 (#1901 - 3 Scholarships Available)
    Sponsor: Lions Club of Keller
    Eligibility: Open to KISD Senior students who have completed a minimum of 3 CTE courses in an aligned pathway (minimum of a B average in each). The Applicant MUST be attending a Technical Trade School immediately after High School. No recipient of this scholarship should be attending a 4-Year University. Applicant should be service oriented and express a financial need. Students will be required to attend a Lions club meeting within 60 days of being awarded the scholarship.

    Open – $1,000 (#1902)
    Sponsor: Rotary Club of Keller Foundation
    Eligibility: Open to KISD Senior students who have completed a minimum of 3 CTE courses in any aligned pathway (minimum of a B average in each) and who are involved with the Interact Club (Rotary).

    CTSO – $1,000 (#1903)
    Eligibility: Open to KISD Senior students who have completed a minimum of 3 CTE courses in any aligned pathway (minimum of a B average in each), competed for two years minimum up to the state level (if 2019 state contest has not occurred, students should be at least registered for state), accumulated points exceed 1,000 within their CTSO, and show evidence of CTSO involvement documented on their scholarship application. 

     

    PROGRAM SPECIFICS

    Agriculture/Veterinary Studies – $1,000 (#1904)
    Sponsor: Newland Communities – Canyon Falls
    Eligibility: Open to KISD Senior students who have completed a minimum of 3 CTE Agriculture/Veterinary Studies courses (minimum of a B average in each).

    Architecture – $1,000 (#1905)
    Eligibility: Open to KISD Senior students who have completed a minimum of 3 CTE Architecture or related courses (minimum of a B average in each) and are continuing education in the field of Architecture. 

    Automotive Technology – $1,000 (#1906 – 2 Available)
    Sponsors: Park Place Dealerships
                   Christian Brothers Automotive - Rufe Snow
    Eligibility: Open to KISD Senior students who have completed a minimum of 3 CTE Automotive courses (minimum of a B average in each) and are continuing education in the field of Automotive Technology.

    Business/Career Preparation – $1,000 (#1907)
    Eligibility: Open to KISD Senior students who have completed a minimum of 3 CTE Business or Career Preparation courses (minimum of a B average in each) and are continuing education in the field of Business.

    Civil Engineering – $1,000 (#1908)
    Sponsor: Samantha Delmotte
    Eligibility: Open to KISD Senior students who have completed a minimum of 3 CTE Architecture or Engineering courses (minimum of a B average in each) and are continuing education in the field of Civil Engineering. 

    Computer Maintenance – $1,000 (#1909)
    Eligibility: Open to KISD Senior students who have completed a minimum of 3 CTE Computer Maintenance courses (minimum of a B average in each) and are continuing education in the field of Computer Maintenance.

    Computer Programming – $1,000 (#1910)
    Eligibility: Open to KISD Senior students who have completed a minimum of 3 CTE Computer Programming courses (minimum of a B average in each) and are continuing education in the field of Computer Programming. 

    Construction Management – $1,000 (#1911)
    Eligibility: Open to KISD Senior students who have completed a minimum of 3 CTE Computer Programing courses (minimum of a B average in each) and are continuing education in the field of Construction Management.

    Cosmetology – $1,000 (#1912)
    Eligibility: Open to KISD Senior students who have completed the minimum of 3 CTE Cosmetology courses (minimum of a B average in each), successfully passed the TDLR exam, and are continuing education in the field of Cosmetology (teaching hours or barber school), Esthetics or Business. 

    Court Law/Law Enforcement - $1,000 (#1913)
    Eligibility: Open to KISD Senior students who have completed a minimum of 3 Court Law or Law Enforcement courses (minimum of a B average in each) and are continuing education in the field of Court Law or Law Enforcement. 

    Culinary – $1,000 (#1914)
    Eligibility: Open to KISD Senior students who have completed a minimum of 3 CTE Culinary courses (minimum of a B average in each) and are continuing education in the field of Culinary Art. 

    Education & Training, Counseling & Mental Health, or Child Guidance – $1,000 (#1915)
    Sponsor: Clayton Youth
    Eligibility: Open to KISD Senior students who have completed a minimum of 3 CTE Education and Training courses, Counseling & Mental Health OR Child Guidance courses (minimum of a B average in each) and are continuing education in the field of Education Counseling, Mental Health or Child Guidance. 

    Engineering/Architecture – $1,000 (#1916)
    Sponsor: CAET Project Management Consultants, LLC
    Eligibility: Open to KISD Senior students who have completed a minimum of 3 CTE Engineering / Architecture courses (minimum of a B average in each) and are continuing education in the field of Engineering / Architecture. 

    Fashion Design/Interior Design – $1,000 (#1917)
    Eligibility: Open to KISD Senior students who have completed a minimum of 3 CTE Fashion Design or Interior Design courses (minimum of a B average in each) and are continuing education in the field of Fashion Design or Interior Design. 

    Finance/Accounting – $1,000 (#1918)
    Eligibility: Open to KISD Senior students who have completed a minimum of 3 CTE Finance or Accounting courses (minimum of a B average in each) and are continuing education in the field of Accounting or Finance. 

    Health Science – Biomedicine – $1,000 (#1919)
    Eligibility: Open to KISD Senior students who have completed a minimum of 3 CTE  Biomedicine courses (minimum of a B average in each) and are continuing education in the field of Health Science. 

    Health Science – C.N.A. – $1,000 (#1920)
    Sponsor: Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Alliance
    Eligibility: Open to KISD Senior students who have completed a minimum of 3 CTE Health science courses, INCLUDING the C.N.A. program (minimum of a B average in each), acquired their C.N.A. license and are continuing education in the field of Health Science.

    Health Science – Clinical Rotations – $1,000 (#1921)
    Eligibility: Open to KISD Senior students who have completed a minimum of 3 CTE Health science courses, INCLUDING the Clinical Rotation course (minimum of a B average in each) and are continuing education in the field of Health Science. 

    Health Science – E.M.T. – $1,000 (#1922)
    Eligibility: Open to KISD Senior students who have completed a minimum of 3 CTE Health Science courses, INCLUDING the E.M.T. program (minimum of a B average in each) and are continuing education in the field of Health Science. 

    Health Science – Pharmacy Technician - - $1,000 (#1923)
    Eligibility: Open to KISD Senior students who have completed a minimum of 3 CTE Health Science courses, INCLUDING the Pharmacy Technician program (minimum of a B average in each), acquired their CPhT, and are continuing education in the field of Health Science. 

    Health Science – Sports Medicine - $1,000 (#1924)
    Eligibility: Open to KISD Senior students who have completed a minimum of 3 CTE Health Science courses, INCLUDING the Sports Medicine courses (minimum of a B average in each) and are continuing education in the field of Health Science. 

    Marketing – $1,000 (#1925)
    Eligibility: Open to KISD Senior students who have completed a minimum of 3 CTE Marketing courses (minimum of a B average in each) and are continuing education in the field of Marketing. 

    Veterinary Studies – $1,000 (#1926)
    Sponsor: Woodland Springs Veterinary Hospital
    Eligibility: Open to KISD Senior students who have completed a minimum of 3 CTE Agriculture/Veterinary Studies courses (minimum of a B average in each), has the intention of becoming a Veterinarian, participated in the FFA program and a successful KISD CTE externship experience with a KISD partnering clinic. 

    Visual Arts – Open to any student in the KISD School of Visual Arts – $1,000 (#1927)
    Sponsor: Glint Advertising
    Eligibility: Open to KISD Senior students who have completed a minimum of 3 CTE Animation, AV Production or Graphic Design courses (minimum of a B average in each) and are continuing education in the field of Animation, AV Production or Graphic Design.
