Community Budget Seminar Highlights State Funding Shortcomings

Keller ISD Interim Superintendent John Allison hosted a Community Budget Education Seminar on November 29, sharing with KISD stakeholders the causes behind the District's current budget challenges.

During the presentation, Allison shared how factors such as rising inflation and the Texas Legislature failing to increase the basic per student funding allotment since 2019 have put Keller ISD in a situation where it has to address a potential budget deficit of more than $27 million.
