Dr. Tracy Johnson was named Keller ISD Superintendent in December 2023, after more than four years serving as the District’s Chief Human Resources Officer.   

She began her educational career as an elementary school teacher in Northwest ISD. After serving as a third-grade teacher and a gifted and talented educator, Dr. Johnson began her administration career in Grapevine-Colleyville ISD. She then later joined Keller ISD as the Coordinator of Advanced Academics before leaving to begin a Human Resources leadership role in Denton ISD in 2016, serving as the Executive Director of Human Resources before returning to Keller ISD in 2019. 

Dr. Johnson holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Woman’s University and a Master’s Degree and Doctorate from the University of North Texas. 

Dr. Johnson is proud to be the first female Superintendent in the history of Keller ISD. 

(The superintendent is not a member of the board of trustees and does not vote on matters related to the district. However, she is the lead administrative officer and works with the board president to set board meeting agendas.)
