KHS, TCHS Softball Teams Advance in Postseason

The varsity softball teams from Keller High and Timber Creek High are both moving on in the 2024 UIL Class 6A Playoffs and will head to West Texas for the Area Round.  

District 4-6A Champion Keller High defeated Paschal in the Bi-District Round, bouncing back after losing the first game in the best-of-three series on April 25 to win Game 2 8-3 on April 26 and Game 3 11-1 on April 27. 

Next up for the Indians will be El Paso Eastwood, second-place finishers in District 1-6A. The teams will meet for a best-of-three series beginning Thursday, May 2, at Midland Legacy High School (3500 Neely Ave. in Midland). Game 1 will be 6 p.m. Thursday, followed by Game 2 at 6 p.m. Friday, May 3. If necessary, a third and deciding game would be played at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 4. Tickets for each game will be $3 for students and $5 for adults. Click here to purchase tickets online. Tickets will be available beginning at 8 a.m. on the day of the game. 

Timber Creek is also moving on to the Area Round after defeating Weatherford in three games in Bi-District play. The Falcons won the first game of the series 1-0 but lost Game 2 10-7. However, they managed to recover and win the rubber match 6-2 on April 27 to clinch the series. 

Awaiting TCHS in the next round is Wolfforth Frenship. The Falcons and Tigers will play a best-of-three series beginning at 5 p.m. Friday, May 3, at Abilene Christian University's Poly Wells Field (2117 Campus Ct. in Abilene). Game 2 of the series is set to be played at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 4, with a third game scheduled for an hour after the completion of Game 2, if necessary. All tickets for each game will be $5 and can only be purchased with cash at the gate.
