Education Foundation's 'Rooted Gala' Smashes Fundraising Records, Raises Over $375,000

The Keller ISD Education Foundation is thrilled to announce the outstanding success of its annual "Rooted Gala," held on April 13 at The Bowden. The event not only celebrated the spirit of community and education but also shattered previous fundraising records by raising over $375,000 in support of Keller ISD's students and educators.

The "Rooted Gala" brought together dedicated supporters, community leaders, and stakeholders in an evening of philanthropy and celebration. Through their generosity and commitment to education, attendees demonstrated their unwavering support for Keller ISD's mission to empower every student to achieve their highest potential.

"We are overwhelmed by the incredible generosity and support shown at this year's 'Rooted Gala,'" said Amanda Migura, CEO of the Keller ISD Education Foundation. "The funds raised will make a significant impact on our students and educators, providing resources and opportunities that enhance learning experiences and enrich lives."

In addition to celebrating the remarkable fundraising success, the Keller ISD Education Foundation also announced the launch of the O.N.E. (Ongoing Needs and Essentials) Fund. This initiative aims to address the financial challenges faced by the district, including a $27 million deficit projected for the 2024-2025 fiscal year. The O.N.E. Fund will fill critical gaps, support essential programs, and ensure that Keller ISD continues to deliver excellence in education despite budgetary constraints.

"We recognize the importance of investing in our schools, especially during these challenging times," Migura said. "The O.N.E. Fund represents our commitment to supporting Keller ISD's students, educators, and families as we navigate the financial realities of the upcoming fiscal year."

The Keller ISD Education Foundation extends its heartfelt gratitude to all sponsors, donors, volunteers, and attendees who contributed to the success of the "Rooted Gala" and the launch of the O.N.E. Fund. Together, we are making a difference in the lives of students and ensuring a bright future for our community. Special recognition goes to Sloan and Staci Harris for their extraordinary donation of $100,000 to the O.N.E. Fund, demonstrating exemplary leadership in supporting the district's mission.
