Fine Arts Students Qualify for State Theatrical Design Contest

Keller ISD technical theatre students have qualified for the UIL State Theatrical Design Contest, held on May 10-11 in Austin.

The UIL Theatrical Design competition presents students with a unique challenge. Each year, the UIL assigns a specific play, and students must create set and costume designs, apply makeup, and develop marketing materials like posters and programs – all for the chosen production. This comprehensive competition pushes students to excel in various theatrical design disciplines.

"We are incredibly impressed with the dedication and creativity displayed by our students in the UIL Theatrical Design competition," said Kim Blann, Fine Arts Director at Keller ISD. "This achievement is a testament to their talent, hard work, and the exceptional instruction provided by our theatre arts directors."
