Keller Girls Lacrosse Wins State Championship

Keller Girls Lacrosse defeated Greenhill 15-6 on Sunday, May 14, to win the Texas Girls High School Lacrosse League Division II State Championship.

The State Championship was the club's first since winning the Division II title in 2016.

The Keller ISD sanctioned club team consists of student-athletes from Central High, Keller High, Timber Creek High, and Keller Collegiate Academy, as well as Fort Worth Christian Academy. This season was the varsity team's third consecutive season to make the playoffs. KGL made it to the State Quarterfinals in 2021 and the State Semifinals in 2022.

This year, the team made it past the Semifinals, defeating Rockwall 18-7 on Saturday, May 13, to advance to the Championship Game against Greenhill, finishing the job and bringing home a State Title.

Coached by Lexus Tatge, the team executed nearly flawlessly in the Championship Game, showing off the coordination and teamwork that had guided them through the playoffs. Keller High junior Maci Shircel led the team with six goals and two assists, earning recognition as the Offensive MVP. Meanwhile, Timber Creek junior Hannah Pasquel earned Defensive MVP for her efforts in keeping the Greenhill attack at bay.

Congratulations to Keller Girls Lacrosse on a tremendous season and on capturing the TGHSLL Division II State Championship!
