    to register students for summer 2024 classes.

    Any student interested in taking Dual Credit for the first time either this summer or in the Fall of 2024 will need to complete the following steps.  Applying to TCC is not difficult, but you must follow very specific steps in order to get it done.  We ask that students complete this process on their own as part of demonstrating their readiness for being a college student.

    Step 1: Getting to the Application

    • Go to https://tccd.edu/Apply • Click on New-to-College Student located on the left side menu

    • Click on Apply online now with ApplyTCC link (located under Step I under: How do I apply to TCC?)

     

    Step 2: Create an ApplyTCC account

    • Click the Create Account link. (If you already have an account, log in.)

    • Fill out each of the required fields and use your personal email address (NOT your KISD school email).

    ENROLLMENT INFORMATION, choose the following options from the drop-down menus: • Academic Level: Select Undergraduate

    • Admit Type: Select Dual Credit (Receiving both high school and college credit)

    • Entry Term: Select the Term You Intend to Begin (ex. Spring, Summer, Fall 20XX)

    • Academic Program: Select Dual Credit/Early High School Enrollment

    • SAVE your ApplyTCC username and password for future reference.

    • Once everything is filled out, click on Create Account link

    • A verification email will be sent to the email address you gave.

    The following MUST be completed to register for summer and/or fall dual credit classes:

    (Emails will be sent out when it is time to complete the below steps to register for Dual Credit classes)

    Additional steps students need to complete after they receive their TCC ID#.

     

    1. Online Readiness:

    2. Dual Credit TSIA 2.0 Compliance - Testing for TSIA information coming soon

    * Potential PSAT waiver students will be notified as soon as possible once PSAT scores are reviewed.

    * SAT / ACT waiver students will have to send these score reports from College Board or ACT DIRECTLY to TCC. 

    * Link to KISD dual credit TSIA 2.0 exemption list and scores needed. PSAT, SAT, or ACT Scores need for TSIA 2.0 Exemption

     

    3. Registration for Dual Credit Courses

    * Fall 2024 course registration will begin later this spring or during the summer once TCC section numbers have been provided to KHS.

    * Summer course registration will begin after Spring Break.

    *** FERPA ***

    Family Education Rights and Privacy Act

     

    • Complete the FERPA for your parents to be able to have communication with TCC.

     

     

    •  Send the FERPA form directly to TCC Northwest Campus from your TCC E-mail address.

    ADDITIONAL IMPORTANT INFORMATION 

     

    • If you did College for Kids through TCC, there is a question on the Apply TCC. Be sure to answer it correctly

     

     

    • TSI stands for Texas Success Initiative. The TSI is an assessment exam that aims to gauge a student's readiness for college-level courses in math, reading, and writing. The test is also used as a way to place students in the appropriate classes in college.

     

     

    • Complete your #notanymore training, this is on Sexual Harrassment and it is a requirement to register. You will find #notanymore in your TCC WebAdvisor Main Menu.
