Theatre Production Auditions

Dear 7th grader,

Thank you for taking an interest in Theatre Production! It’s a great class with cool people who are serious about theatre. We’ll have a lot of fun enhancing our performance skills and even dabble into technical theatre as well! Here are some things you need to know:

• Theatre Production is only for 8th graders who have already taken Theatre 1.
• You will be working very closely with 15-20 other students and your directors, so there is no room for bad attitudes, personal “drama”, and poor grades in your class which would make you INELIGIBLE FOR THE ONE ACT PLAY.
• This is a performance based class, you are required to perform regularly throughout the year.
• You are also required to audition for the One Act Play, but you do NOT have to be in the play. Auditions are an important part of theatre. 
• However, it does not mean you are automatically cast in the One Act Play, which will be open to 7th & 8th graders across the whole school.
• You must audition to gain entry to the class on Friday, January 17th at 4pm. You will need to sign up for a slot on the call board, located outside of B115. 

Audition requirements and tips are on the audition form outside of the Theatre room (b115). If you want to audition but cannot attend that day due to a prior commitment, please see Mrs. Dahlke to schedule an alternative time.
