Reporting an absence
Please call or email your attendance clerk. Include your students name, your name and a return phone number/email.
-
Dismissals
Call or email to dismiss your student. Due to the volume of calls you may need to leave a message. Messages are checked continuously throughout the day. Please leave your student name, the dismissal time, your name and a call back number. Please allow plenty of time for us to locate your student.
Students are not allowed to dismiss themselves, including students 18+ years old.

Attendance errors
If your student believes that an absence is an error, they must discuss this directly with their teacher. Attendance can only make changes at the direction of their classroom teacher.

Credit denial and seat time
Texas Education Law states that a student must be in attendance 90% to earn credit for a class. This is calculated each semester. For each semester, students are allowed the following number of unexcused absences:
Period 1 and 8: 9 absences
Periods 2-7: 4 absences
Students who exceed this limit will be required to complete seat time (Saturday school or Tutorials) to come back in to compliance with the 90% law.
Students should see their Assistant Principal to discuss seat time.
