Keller ISD Artists Receive State Recognition

Keller ISD art students were recently awarded the Gold Seal at the State Visual Arts Scholastic Event (VASE).

Five KISD students have been awarded Gold Seals in the Texas Art Education Association (TAEA) VASE, the equivalent of a state championship in visual art. This remarkable achievement places their work among the top 7% of all entries submitted from across the state.

Out of a staggering 22,560 entries submitted to the regional competition, only 1486 students qualified for the state level. From this elite group, a mere 150 students were chosen to receive the coveted Gold Seal, signifying artistic excellence.

These Gold Seal winners receive a Gold State Medallion, and their artwork will be prominently displayed in a variety of prestigious venues throughout Texas. The culminating event is the Gold Seal Exhibition at the annual TAEA Fall Conference.
