Keller HS Baseball Advances to Regional Quarterfinals

Keller High's varsity baseball team is headed for the UIL Region 1-6A Quarterfinals after sweeping Wolfforth Frenship in the Area Round, setting up a match-up against District 4-6A rival Southlake Carroll.

KHS won the first game of its Area Round series 4-1 over Frenship, and then took care of business in Game 2, winning 6-0 to advance.

After traveling to West Texas, the Indians get to stay in the Metroplex for the Regional Quarterfinals as they get set for a best-of-three series with Carroll. Keller split its regular season series with the Dragons, losing 3-0 at home and winning 1-0 on the road in March. Carroll ended up finishing as runner-up in District 6-4A, just a game better in the standings than Keller, who finished third.

The teams will open the Regional Quarterfinal series at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 16. Game 2 will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 17. If necessary, a third game would be played at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 18. All of the games will be played at L.D. Bell High School (1601 Brown Trail in Hurst). Tickets for each game will be $5. Click here to purchase your tickets online.

Best of luck to Keller as they play to advance to the Regional Semifinals!
