District 4-6A Champion KHS defeated V.R. Eaton in a Regional Quarterfinal series May 9-11 to gete to the Semifinals. After winning Game 1 of the series 5-1, Eaton fought back to win Game 2 7-0. The Indians were victorious in the third and deciding game on Saturday, winning 4-0 to take the series.

Plano West, District 6-6A's third-place finisher, also won its Reginal Quarterfinal series in three games last weekend. Keller High and West will meet at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 17, at the Coppell Baseball/Softball Complex (1301 Wrangler Drive in Coppell). Timber Creek had also advaned to the Regional Quarterfinals but saw its incredible season end against Southlake Carroll. The Falcons had been swept by the Dragons in the regular eason, and Carroll took the first game of the Regional Quarterfinal series 6-2. However, Timber Creek struck back and won Game 2 3-1 to force a third game. In the final game, TCHS answered three first-inning Carroll runs with three of their own in the bottom half of the opening frame. However, the Dragons managed to post two more runs on the board in the fifth inning and hang on for the victory.

Congratulations to Timber Creek on a great season and fantastic playoff run, and best of luck to Keller High as they look to advance to the Regional Finals.
