Homeschool Athletics Participation
The following sports are available to home school students: Cross Country, Volleyball, Basketball, Football, Wrestling, Soccer (HS only), Tennis, Swimming, Water Polo, Golf, Cheer, Softball, Baseball, Track.
Enrollment Process
- Keller ISD Homeschool UIL Athletics Participation Form and proof of residency must be submitted by the parent/guardian and approved by the Athletics Director before the next steps may be started.
- New Student Online Enrollment forms must be submitted along with all required documentation.
- Complete enrollment process five (5) weeks prior to first athletic contest.
- Complete and Submit Athletic Physical a week before the first day of practice or tryout.
- Complete Rank One paperwork.
Participation Requirements
- A homeschooled student must declare their intention to participate in a sport annually.
- A homeschooled student must participate in all required activities of the sport they are a part of, unless otherwise approved by the appropriate coach. This includes participation in all in-season and off-season (year-round) school class-period practices, workouts, and/or meetings.
- Quitting, withdrawing, or not attending off-season practice will determine if a student is ineligible to participate in KISD activities going forward.
- A homeschooled student must abide by the rules and regulations provided in the KISD Student Code of Conduct and the KISD Extracurricular Code of Conduct.
- The homeschooled student must ride district-provided transportation to and from all games/events.
***Some activities will be based on tryouts conducted at the appropriate time.
