Keller ISD cheerleading programs are proud to lead the charge in bridging the gap from being viewed as a spirit organization to a recognized sport. 

Middle School Tryouts

Cheer coaches will evaluate the athletes during tryouts. During the tryout week, athletes are evaluated on their execution of skills in multiple categories which may include: cheer, band chant, dance, performance, jumps, standing tumbling, and running tumbling.

Team selection is determined by the level of execution of skills, just as any athlete is evaluated in their sport. Announcements of teams are posted on Friday evening following the tryout week.
