John Allison was named Interim Superintendent of Schools by the Keller ISD Board of Trustees beginning July 1, 2023, while the Board searches for a new Superintendent in the wake of Dr. Rick Westfall's retirement.  

Allison joined Keller ISD in February 2021 and has served as the District's Associate Superintendent of Education since his arrival. 

Allison has dedlicated his life to public education, serving in a multitude of roles, including classroom teacher, campus administrator, associate and deputy superintendent, and superintendent of multiple school districts, including Mt. Lebanon School District in Pennsylvania, Wichita Public Schools, and Olathe Public Schools in Kansas. As Associate Superintendent of Education in Keller ISD, he has overseen the entirety of Keller ISD's educational support systems. 

(The superintendent is not a member of the board of trustees and does not vote on matters related to the district. However, he is the lead administrative officer and works with the board president to set board meeting agendas.)
