Secretary Beverly Dixon, Place 5
Board Member Beverly (Bev) Dixon is in the first year of her second term as a Keller ISD Trustee. She assumed office in May 2017.
Mrs. Dixon is originally from Norman, Oklahoma. She entered the U.S. Navy right after high school graduation and served eight years enlisted before her selection to the Enlisted Commissioning Program. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources from North Carolina State University and received her commission as a Medical Service Corps Officer in July of 2000. She retired from the Navy in September 2010 after 21 years of service.
Mrs. Dixon has been married to her husband, John, for 18 years and they have two daughters, Ashlyn and Kaely, who are both students in Keller ISD. They moved to Keller in June 2011 after John retired from the U.S. Marine Corps. Upon moving to Keller, Mrs. Dixon began volunteering and working as a substitute teacher in Keller ISD.
Mrs. Dixon is actively engaged in the local community and within Keller ISD. She has served on three PTA boards including a two-year term as President. She was awarded the Lifetime PTA Member from Willis Lane Elementary. She has served as a Keller ISD Community Ambassador and on several different campus and district level committees, including CEIC and both the Citizen’s Bond Advisory Committee and the Oversight Committee. Mrs. Dixon has been a Girl Scout Leader for six years, a member of the National Charity League, and a parishioner at Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
“It is an honor to be elected to the Keller ISD Board of Trustees," Mrs. Dixon said. "We moved to Keller because of the school district, and I believe it is everyone’s responsibility to get engaged and ensure we give our children the very best start to their futures.”
Bev Dixon’s current term on the Board will expire in May 2023.
