President Charles Randklev, Place 6

Headshot of Dr. Charles RandklevDr. Charles Randklev is currently in the third year of his first term on the KISD Board of Trustees. He first took office in May of 2021.

A scientist and educator at Texas A&M University, Dr. Randklev holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Ph.D. from the University of North Texas. Dr. Randklev's research and teaching focuses on wildlife conservation using freshwater fish and mussels. He currently mentors graduate students (Ph.D. and M.S.) and has authored or co-authored more than 45 peer-reviewed publications. 

Dr. Randklev and his wife, Jennifer, have been married for 19 years, as of May 2021, and have lived in the Keller ISD area since 2001. They have three beautiful children – Ellie, Lula, and Teddy. Both Ellie and Lula attend Florence Elementary School. The Randklev family loves spending time outside camping and fishing. 

"It's an honor and privilege to serve the community and children of KISD," Dr. Randklev said. "Education is the greatest equalizer, and access to a quality public education is a key ingredient to ensuring our children realize and achieve their full potential." 

Dr. Randklev's current term on the Board will expire in May 2024.
