Trustee Brad Schofield, Place 6
Brad Schofield is currently in the third year of his third term on the KISD Board of Trustees. He first took office in June of 2012.
Mr. Schofield has lived in Northeast Tarrant County for the past twelve years. He and his wife Renee have five children with three attending Keller ISD.
Mr. Schofield graduated from Dallas Baptist University with a Bachelors of Business Administration Degree in Accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of Texas. He has past experience in conducting annual audits of school districts and municipalities. Currently, Mr. Schofield is an Assistant Controller at American Consolidated Media, publisher of approximately 100 local newspapers.
What drew Mr. Schofield to run for a place on the Board was a desire to restore public faith in the district after the TRE election during the summer of 2011. He would like to bridge the gap existing between the community and Administration-Board.
"My goal is to improve the standing of our school board and to open the channels of communication between the Board and the community. I would like to restore fiscal accountability and see our district's funds spent more in line with the desires of the voters."
"The foundational basis of a school contains only two elements, a teacher and a student. All other elements of a school are secondary to these two core rudiments. I believe as a district we need to refocus our efforts toward the teaching of students as contrasted to areas which have minimal impact on the classroom."
Mr. Schofield's current term on the Board will expire in May 2021.
