Vice President Chris Roof, Place 4
Board Member Chris Roof is in the first year of his second term as a Keller ISD Trustee. He assumed office in May 2017.
Mr. Roof is a native Texan who graduated from L.D. Bell High School in Hurst. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Master’s degree in Business Management from the University of Dallas. He and his wife Lorri have been married for 21 years as of May 2018, and have lived in the Keller ISD area since 1999. They have have two sons who have grown up in Keller ISD.
Since 1997, he has worked for a healthcare company in Irving, delivering high-value services to healthcare institutions across the U.S. He is currently a Director leading a contracting team for their organization, supporting large and influential healthcare systems in the southeastern United States. He has also served on various committees including the company’s Diversity Committee, supporting veteran owned businesses as well as minority and woman owned businesses.
“Healthcare is a growing, dynamic and changing environment, just like our schools and the tools available to our educators and children," Mr. Roof said. "We have a tremendous opportunity to send our children into the world or on to college with a terrific education from one of the top school districts in the state.”
Mr. Roof serves as the Middle School Deacon at Legacy Church of Christ actively participating in the leadership of the youth group through teaching, mission trips, retreats and other various activities. He has volunteered as a Watch Dog at Parkwood Hill Intermediate in the past and enjoys being part of children’s growth and development. From a corporate perspective, he participates in “community days” through his organization to give back and serve those in the DFW Metroplex.
He says, “It’s an honor to serve on Keller ISD’s Board of Trustees. We have a great group of people that are committed to excellence in all things.”
Mr. Roof's current term on the Board will expire in May 2023.
