Back-to-School Update: Response to 6/23 TEA Guidance
On Tuesday, June 23, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) held a conference call with superintendents and school district officials throughout the state, during which it was expected that it would provide guidance for in-person instruction for the 2020-21 school year.
During this call, TEA provided districts with guidance for remote instruction, but did not provide any additional guidance regarding in-person instruction. TEA has indicated that it is examining the public health situation, working closely with the Governor's Special Advisory Council, and continuing to monitor the rapidly changing landscape before it releases guidance for in-person instruction.
Keller ISD will continue working on plans for different in-person instruction scenarios, but will wait to finalize its plans until TEA has provided additional guidance, which it has indicated will be coming at a later, yet-to-be determined date.
