School Supplies Provided by Keller ISD for 2020-21

Keller ISD is excited to share that it will be providing students with school supplies from annual campus school supply lists for the 2020-21 school year.

The District understands that the impact of COVID-19 has taken a toll on many in the Keller ISD community. When the idea was presented to District leadership, it was quickly embraced, and administrators committed to developing a solution to help families avoid this additional expense.

Crayons, colored pencils and markers laid out on a white background “We recognize that many members of our community are struggling financially as a result of this pandemic,” said KISD Superintendent Dr. Rick Westfall. “As the needs were presented we saw it as an opportunity to help take care of our families.”

This opportunity was made possible this year through campuses and departments pulling together and finding funds budgeted for spring and year-end expenditures that were not utilized during the COVID-19 facility closures. Additionally, this can help families who may be at a higher health risk stay home, rather than in crowded school supply shopping aisles.

"As our families prepare for the reopening of schools this fall, we wanted to take the burden of back-to-school crowds and the expense of students' school supplies off their plates," said KISD Chief of Schools Cecil McDaniel. "It is great to be able to give the resources given to us back to the community. I am so proud to be part of the Keller ISD community."

The supplies are for all Keller ISD preK-8 students. However, there are a few additional grades, but those are case by case/per school. If you have questions about the supplies that will be included, please contact your campus administration.
