FRHS Thespian Troupe Awarded Grant to Attend Texas Thespian Festival

Fossil Ridge High School Thespian Troupe 5584 received a $2,000 grant from Texas Thespians to support their attendance at the upcoming Texas Thespian Festival on Nov. 15-18 at the Gaylord Hotel in Grapevine. 

The dedicated leadership team of Troupe 5584, consisting of President Evelyn Lydick, Vice President Nicholas Ramsey, Secretary John Corley, Treasurer Isabelle Hurst, and historian Andie Morse, worked tirelessly to secure the grant. Their efforts have ensured that students will have the opportunity to participate in the festival who might have yet to be able to attend the festival have the chance to participate in the festival.

Troupe sponsor, Kati Grimmer expressed her excitement, stating, "Receiving this grant allowed many students to attend the festival who might not otherwise be able to go." Theatre at The Ridge is proud to send 33 representatives to the State convention, marking a significant achievement for Troupe 5584.

Nicholas Ramsey, Troupe Vice President, shared his pride in the troupe's progress, stating, "I am so proud of the advancements we are making as a Thespian troupe this year."

The Texas Thespian Festival promises to be a remarkable experience for the Fossil Ridge Thespian Troupe 5584, and the grant from Texas Thespians will contribute to making this opportunity a reality. The festival, hosted at The Gaylord Hotel and Convention Center, will provide a platform for students to showcase their talents, learn from industry professionals, and connect with fellow theatre enthusiasts.
