Varsity football teams from Timber Creek High and Keller High both qualified for the 2023 UIL Class 6A Playoffs and fell short of advancing in their Bi-District matchups on Friday, November 10.
Both teams finished 7-3 overall, with Timber Creek (5-2 in district play) finishing the season in third place in District 4-6A and Keller (4-3) finishing in fourth. As the two playoff qualifiers from 4-6A with the largest student enrollments, the teams were placed in the Class 6A Division 1 bracket.
TCHS faced Trinity High in the Bi-District, and the Trojans won 63-35 at HEB ISD's Penington Field. Meanwhile, KHS drew District 3-6A Champion North Crowley, and the Panthers stayed undefeated on the season by defeating the Indians 42-26 at Crowley ISD Multi-Purpose Stadium.
Congratulations to both Timber Creek and Keller High on making the playoffs this year!
