Birt, Coker Win Board of Trustees Seats

Keller ISD held its 2023 Board of Trustees Election on Saturday, May 6, and Place 4 and Place 5 on the Board were won by John Birt and Chris Coker, respectively. 

More than 107,000 ballots were cast across Tarrant County in this spring's general elections, and more than 14,000 votes were cast in each of KISD's Trustee Elections. 

For Place 4, Birt received 58.22% of the votes, with 8,301 total, to Haley Taylor Schlitz's 5,957 votes (41.78%). 

For Place 5, Coker received 7,705 votes for a 53.95% share of the votes in that race, to Bev Dixon's 6,578 votes (46.05%). 

Birt is returning to the Board of his second term, after previously serving from 1996-99. It will be Coker's first time to serve on the Board.
