    REFLECTIONS is a PTA sponsored contest that focuses on creativity expressed through arts. The works are judges for their creativity, originality, and mastery of media, but most importantly on interpretation of theme. The categories are: Literature, Music Composition, Photography, Visual Arts, Dance Choreography, and Film Production. Click on title for registration form, rules, and theme)

  • FES 2018 FALL CARNIVAL

    Join us at the FES Fall Carnival on Saturday, Oct. 20 from 11 - 3. There will be games, food, "Battle of the Bowls" (Chili Cookoff) fun, and more.

  • Storybook Character Day

    Storybook Character Day is a day to celebrate reading. You may come to school dressed as a character from a book that you have read!!!!! Dress up and bring your book for the parade!!! The parade will begin at 8:10, on the basketball courts. Parents and other family members are welcome to join us for the parade!! (Click on the title for more info)

  • 21 Day Snack Challenge

    Parents, don't forget to sign your child up for the 21 Day Snack Challenge by Monday, October 1!!!! Students received a Cook Book in gym this week that has some fun snack ideas create by high school students. Kids that participate will chart what snacks they eat for 21 days, from Oct. 1 to Oct. 21st. At the end, they will receive a small prize.

  • Monster Dash 5K/1Mile Health & Wellness Expo

    KISD Monster Dash: Oct. 27, Sign up under Florence ES. The school will get $100 for every 50 registered runners. It will be a great morning of health and wellness!!! (Click on title for more info)

  • Yearbook Cover Design Contest

    Artwork for Yearbook Cover Contest is due by Friday, Oct. 26. It must be on a 8.5"X11" paper and showcase the theme, "We're Falcons, Soaring to New Heights."

  • October is Red Ribbon Month

    October is "Red Ribbon Month" There are many activities for the students and parents throughout the month. Oct. 5 is "My Future is Bright - Live Drug Free (WEAR NEON or SUNGLASSES) Oct. 12 is "Follow Your Dreams - Don't Do Drugs" (WEAR PAJAMAS) Oct. 19 is "I'm Not Crazy - I Make Healthy Choices" (Crazy Hair Day) Oct. 26 is "Storybook Character Day."

    The FES Spirit Store will be open Nov. 30. Students may shop from 7:30 - 7:45 (with parent or guardian). They will also have the opportunity to shop during recess.
