Degrees and Certifications:
As a graduate of Keller schools I am so proud to be working in Keller ISD. I grew up in Keller and my parents still live here in Keller. This is such a great school district and I am excited to be here at Ridgeview Elementary School. Before I came to RES I was a counselor at Timberview Middle School for three years and two years at Bluebonnet Elementary before that. I also taught at Timberview Middle School and Trinity Meadows Intermediate. I went to school and graduated with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M. After I graduate from Texas A&M I had the opportunity to live in Vietnam for a full year and teach at a university in Vinh. Later, I went to Dallas Baptist University to earn my Masters in School Counseling. I feel very blessed to be at such an amazing campus like Ridgeview Elementary and am looking forward to this school year.
My name is Molly Miller, and I am truly honored and excited to be the additional counselor at Ridgeview Elementary! (My time will be split between Ridgeview and Caprock—I will be on each campus two and a half days every week.)
The 2019-2020 school year marks my 24th year working in the field of education, and it will be my second year as a school counselor.
Before joining the Keller ISD family, I worked in both Grapevine-Colleyville ISD as well as Arlington ISD. Before becoming a school counselor, I taught kindergarten and fourth grade at the elementary level and English, Creative Writing, and Texas History at the middle school level. I have also worked as an educational consultant in which I got to work with both educators and students across the county.
In addition to my school counseling certification, I have a Master of Science in Education with a major in Educational Neuroscience (Mind, Brain and Education) and specialized in Brain-based Teaching & Learning and Mind-Brain Health. My Bachelor of Science Degree is in Elementary Education with a focus in Early Childhood Education.
I have been blessed with an amazing blended family! Between my husband and I, we have six children (three are married) and seven grandchildren. Our blended-family enjoys traveling, camping, watching sporting events (especially when one of our children or grandchildren are playing), family game nights, and just spending time together.
My goal as a counselor is to support Ridgeview’s students, staff, and families so that our students reach new heights during their time at Ridgeview. I have an open-door policy and welcome you to stop by my office when you can. I am looking forward to meeting and getting to know each member of the Ridgeview family!
