Educational Technology

The Educational Technology team in Keller ISD exists to support the Technology department’s mission: Empowering others to achieve more through innovative solutions. 

The team is made up of a Director of Educational Technology, Assistant Director of Education Technology, and four district Facilitators.

Among many district initiatives, the team leads a train-the-trainer model called Digital LINKS (Learning is Now in Keller Schools), mentors teachers through a choice-based professional development game called Technopoly and delivers various learning opportunities throughout the year such as Twitter Chats, online learning on the KIC Start Your Learning channel, and summer #CoffeeEDU meet ups.

While focusing on supporting teachers in the area of instructional technology integration, the team also leads the district Student Genius Team. The student geniuses assist newly-hired Keller ISD employees with district-issued laptops and online systems and processes. The Genius Team also assists with district initiatives and events, such as Keller University, Technopoly, the annual New Hire Luncheon, and Convocation.
