Flag Football
Keller ISD Special Olympics Texas Flag Football is an exciting sport that caters to athletes of all abilities and teaches skill development in a number of areas including: passing, route running, defensive strategy, and more.
Individual Skills Competition allows Special Olympic Texas athletes to develop sports skills in a competitive format designed to serve as a stepping stone to team competition. The individual skills offered for Flag Football are catching, throwing for accuracy, throwing for distance, and flag pulling.
5-on-5 Traditional Team Competition is played on a modified football field, with a youth-size football.
All athletes participating in Flag Football need a completed medical release form on file and are required to wear a mouth piece during practice and all competitions with “no-pocket” black shorts during competitions. Please bring water to all practices, as well as wear shorts, T-shirt, and tennis shoes. Cleats are not required, but preferred. In case of rain, we will practice in the Timberview Middle School gym, which is next to the football field.
