Inducting New School Professionals into Remarkable Educators through INSPIRE Academy!

Why INSPIRE Academy? 

Research shows that new teachers who participate in a teacher induction program while working alongside an experienced Mentor Teacher during their first year of teaching experience greater success and longevity in their teaching career. 

We support teachers for the first two years through INSPIRE Academy. 
 

Who Attends INSPIRE Academy? 

Teachers with a zero-year or one-year record of service are required to attend INSPIRE Academy. 

Principals may require teachers who are returning to the classroom after a significant leave to attend INSPIRE Academy for its additional support. 
 

What and When is INSPIRE Academy? 

INSPIRE Academy classes are scheduled approximately four times throughout the year. These will include: 

• Classroom visits in experienced teachers' classrooms and cohort meetings; 
• Both in-person and video coaching and reflection to grow as an educator; and
• A trained, experienced mentor on your campus. 
   

Mentoring Administrative Regulation 

All INSPIRE Academy Teachers will be assigned a Mentor Teacher in order to foster a positive, more engaged work environment that supports collaboration, community, and personal wellness. See, Administrative Regulation: Professional Development – Beginning Teacher Mentoring Guidelines.
