Keller Early Enrichment Program (KEEP)

No, the employee does not have to be full time.

For children who are 6 weeks - 3 years old, complete an Intent to Register form for KEEP through Formspace in Eduphoria. Throughout the year, we will also keep a waiting list and notify you when a space is available.

Children ages 6 weeks through 3 years may attend KEEP.  For ages 6 weeks to 3 years, we will use the child's age as of 9/1 of the current school year to determine class.

Go ahead and complete an intent to register form. KEEP will hold your intent to register and be in contact regarding potential infant openings around the anticipated start date for your child. Openings will depend on current infants and other children moving up to the next class. Payments will not start until your child’s first day.

No, each KISD elementary campus has before/after care through Clayton.

Payroll deduction will be set up either on a 10 or 12 month schedule.  It is the parent's preference.

We provide a morning and an afternoon snack.

The program is intended to be 5 days a week and payment plans will reflect a full time tuition.  Children ages 6 weeks-3 years are not bound by attendance policies.

We write our own scope and sequence based on infant/toddler Texas guidelines and recommendations by NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children).  One of our resources will be Frog Street Curriculum for our Infant through 3 year-old rooms.

No, we will not do field trips.  Instead, we will provide a variety of enrichment activities on-site.

KEEP employees are KISD employees and must pass a criminal background check, reference check, and DFPS registry check as part of the interview process. 

All staff are required to complete training in the following areas annually:

• Infant/Child CPR and AED

• First Aid

• Procedures for handling emergencies

• Child abuse prevention and reporting on an annual basis

Additionally, all caregivers must obtain at least 24 clock hours of training each year in the areas of:

• Child growth and development

• Guidance and Discipline

• Age-appropriate curriculum

• Teacher and child interactions

• Special needs

• Health and Safety

• Cultural diversity 

Caregivers for children under the age of 24 months have additional training requirements for:

• Recognizing and preventing Shaken Baby Syndrome

• Preventing Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)

• Understanding early brain development

Yes, all caregivers (including subs) are required to have 2 background checks.  One background check is through HR, and the other is through Daycare Licensing.  Not only are they checked for normal  FBI background investigations, but the Licensing checks for any reports from previous daycares of any reported misconduct.

Please send at least 1 change of clothes, a favorite blanket/nap roll and soft toy to make napping time more comfortable, a prepared lunch, bottles/diapers/wipes if needed.

We follow Minimum Standards, the state rules for child care centers. For each age-group, there is a different ratio. See below:

• Baby Bear Cubs  (6 weeks-11 months) 4:1; 10:2
• Precious Panthers (12-17 months)  5:1
• Cherished Chargers (18-23 months) 9:1
• Flying Falcons (2 year olds) 11:1
• Keller Kids (3 year olds) 15:1

We do not offer transportation. It is the responsibility of the parent to provide transportation to and from KEEP.

• Infant (6 weeks-11 months) - Baby Bear Cubs - $45 Daily Rate, $50 Annual Supply Fee, $100 per child/$150 per family registration fee

• Pre-Toddler (12-17 months) - Precious Panthers - $44 Daily Rate, $50 Annual Supply Fee, $100 per child/$150 per family registration fee

• Toddler (18-24 months) - Cherished Chargers - $43 Daily Rate, $50 Annual Supply Fee, $100 per child/$150 per family registration fee

• 2 year old class - Flying Falcons - $42 Daily Rate, $75 Annual Supply Fee, $100 per child/$150 per family registration fee

• 3 year old class - Keller Kids - $41 Daily Rate, $100 Annual Supply Fee, $100 per child/$150 per family registration fee

It is $100 per child / $150 per family - This fee is non-refundable and needs to be paid in advance to hold the child/family’s spot.

The fees will be deducted via payroll.  Returning families may pay over 1 or 2 pay cycles (August or August/September).  New families must pay this fee before starting KEEP.

Families will do this via payroll deduction.

Tuition is to be paid via payroll deduction.  Families must complete the payroll deduction form as part of the enrollment process.  KEEP will be open on all teacher workdays.

• Family Discount: KEEP offers a 5% discount for the 2nd child and a 5% discount for the 3rd child.  
• Caregiver Discount:  KEEP offers a 5% discount for all KEEP caregivers and the KEEP Coordinator.

Fill out the Intent to Enroll form.  Your child will not be enrolled in a class until he/she is actually ready to start.  If there is no available spot, then your child  will remain on a wait list.  We will communicate frequently to let you know about availability. 

Parents will need to provide diapers and wipes for their child.
