Tiny Home Project
Career and Technical Education (CTE) opportunities at KCAL continue to grow, and our Tiny House project is giving Keller ISD students an unforgettable, real-world, hands-on experience. When the chance arose to build a fully functioning tiny home, KCAL administrators and educators jumped at the opportunity to bring this collaborative, cross-curricular project to life.
The journey began with Architecture students drafting the home’s designs. From there, Construction students took over the build, with HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical students set to contribute their expertise as the project progresses. Ultimately, Interior Design students will add the finishing touches to complete the home—showcasing how multiple programs can work together on one authentic industry project.
This incredible learning experience is made possible through generous donations and strong community partnerships.
