Scholarship Submission Deadline: March 31, 2025, 11:59 PM

Winner Posted on Website: Week of April 20, 2025

Scholarship Awards: May 9, 2025, by invitation

Eligibility: All KISD graduating seniors (unless otherwise noted in the scholarship listing), regardless of race, religion, or sex, are eligible for consideration upon submitting a completed application. Students should only apply for scholarships they qualify for based on the scholarship description. Students must have completed at least three (3) CTE courses in a Program of Study and maintain a B average in each course. Students should review all scholarship listings and determine which scholarships to apply for based on eligibility. Students may apply for up to 3 scholarships. Some scholarships may have additional requirements, and those requirements will be on the scholarship listing webpage.

Frequently Asked Question regarding eligibility: Students often want to know what to do if they finished a program of study in high school, but they want to pursue something different in college. For example, a student may have completed the welding program in high school, but they have decided to move on and pursue a construction management degree in college. The answer varies depending on the scenario, donor, and individual scholarship, but typically donors want to direct their resources toward building up a particular profession. So, in the scenario above, use your best judgment based on the available scholarships and your plans, but for this example, it might be in your best interest to apply for both welding and construction management scholarships. You can apply for up to three scholarships in total.

Scholarship Scope: To be considered, applicants must be current Keller ISD high school seniors planning to attend an accredited four-year college or university, community or junior college, trade or technical school, continuing education program, or entering the workforce (for scholarships that apply).

Award: Scholarship payment will be sent directly to the educational institution upon completing the Scholarship Request form with an attached receipt from the post-secondary institution that must equal or exceed the amount of the scholarship award. Scholarship fund requests must be made DIRECTLY to the Keller ISD CTE Department by July 1, 2025.

Scholarship Criteria: Scholarship criteria considered will be: character, citizenship, academic record, financial need, career plan, and interview (if needed). If no applicants meet the scholarship criteria, the scholarship will not be awarded.

Scholarship Selection Committee: The selection committee will comprise the Keller ISD Career and Technical Education Advisory Board members, Keller ISD Career and Technical Education Administration, and contributing donors.

Rubric: An example of the rubric and scoring application and can be found here.
