ESL Program

Keller ISD provides ESL programs at every campus to ensure that all Emergent Bilingual (EB) students have access to effective, high-quality language instruction. Through these programs, the district is committed to supporting the linguistic, cognitive, and affective development of EB students by implementing research-based instructional practices and ensuring instruction is delivered by appropriately certified educators. By honoring and building upon students’ cultural and linguistic assets, Keller ISD strives to provide equitable opportunities that prepare EB students to succeed in rigorous academic environments and beyond.

Vision: Keller ISD’s Language Acquisition Department's vision is to ensure that our Emergent Bilingual students develop linguistic, cognitive, and academic skills to participate in rigorous environments and become competitive citizens of our society, through respecting and building upon the unique cultural and linguistic attributes they bring to our learning community.
