Special Olympics State Track & Field Athletes Bring Home 17 Medals

Keller ISD was proudly represented by 16 student-athletes at the Special Olympics State Track and Field Meet, held April 30-May 2 in Melissa, Texas. The athletes delivered strong performances across a variety of events, earning 17 medals in total.

Competing against talented Special Olympians from across the state, Keller ISD athletes participated in events including the 100-meter dash, 4x100-meter relay, mini javelin, softball throw, and shot put. Congratulations to these student-athletes on their impressive accomplishments:

The 2026 Special Olympics Texas Statewide Summer Games attracts over 10,000 attendees, including more than 3,000 Special Olympic athletes and an estimated 2,000 volunteers from across the state. The event is a significant opportunity for athletes, volunteers, and families to come together and celebrate athleticism, inclusion, and community spirit.
