KHS, TCHS Runners Advance to State Cross Country Meet

Three Keller High School runners and one Timber Creek High School runner are headed to the Class 6A State Cross Country Championship Meet after their performances at the Region 1-6A Championships. 

The TCHS girls and KHS boys varsity cross country teams both advanced to Regionals, along with Keller High's Clare Boneau, District 4-6A Individual Champion. The runners competed in on October 21 in Lubbock, with KHS finishing sixth in the boys' competition and the TCHS girls finishing seventh as a team. 

Individually, Boneau and Timber Creek's Megan Calhoun finished 11th and 15th, respectively, to both qualify for the Class 6A State Championship. Keller High's Anthony Abeyta and Boston Bowcutt finished 15th and 16th, respectively, to also earn individual berths to the State Meet. 

The Class 6A State Cross Country Championship Meet will be held on October 31 in Round Rock. Congratulations to both teams on a tremendous season, and good luck to Keller ISD's State Qualifiers as they head to Round Rock to compete against Class 6A's best.
