Keller Baseball Wins UIL 6A Division 1 State Championship
Keller High School baseball claimed the Class 6A Division 1 state championship with a 2-1 victory over Austin Lake Travis on June 6 at the Dell Diamond in Round Rock.
The Indians finished the season with a 40-4-2 record and secured the program's first state title after advancing to the championship game for the first time since 2021.
Keller was led by pitcher and tournament MVP Cole Koeninger, whose performance helped power the Indians to the state crown. The team combined timely hitting, strong pitching, and solid defense throughout the postseason to complete an impressive playoff run against some of the state's top programs.
The championship also serves as a fitting conclusion to the career of head coach Rob Stramp, whose leadership helped guide Keller to the pinnacle of Texas high school baseball.
Throughout the season, Keller demonstrated resilience, teamwork, and consistency, finishing with one of the top records in Class 6A. The state championship is the culmination of months of hard work and dedication from the student-athletes, coaches, and supporters who helped make the historic season possible.
