Keller ISD Welcomes New Assistant Athletics Director Kris Price

Keller ISD is excited to announce that Kristopher Price has been approved as KISD’s new Assistant Director of Athletics.

Price joins Keller ISD from Leander High School where has served as Athletic Coordinator and Head Football Coach since 2019. Price began his teaching career at Keller ISD’s Indian Springs Middle School in 2003. He later held roles in other school districts before returning to the district in 2013 as a coach at Keller High School, where he worked until accepting his current role in Leander.

“We are thrilled to welcome Coach Price back to Keller ISD,” said KISD Athletics Director Eric Persyn. “His experience as a head coach and campus coordinator, along with his unwavering commitment to student-athlete and staff success, made him the ideal choice to help shape the future of our programs. Coach Price brings a strategic vision that aligns perfectly with our pursuit of excellence on and off the field.”

Price holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of North Texas. His hiring was approved by KISD’s Board of Trustees at its May 14, 2026, Regular Meeting, and he will begin his new role in July. Price replaces outgoing Assistant Athletics Director Bart Helsley who will be retiring after a 35-year career in education.
