PHIS, ISMS Students, BCI Educator Recognized with National 180 Awards

PHIS, ISMS Students, BCI Educator Recognized with National 180 Awards

For the past 19 years, HMH – an integrated K-12 learning solutions platform – has celebrated the outstanding achievements of educators and students participating in Read 180 and Math 180 programs nationwide. Each spring, students and teachers are nominated based on their achievement levels, growth mindset, personal development, program engagement, alignment with 180 Awards values, and a deep commitment to academic growth and continuous improvement.

This year, Keller ISD is proud to announce that two students have been selected as HMH Outstanding 180 Students for the 2024-25 school year. Out of 240 students nominated across the country, only 58 were chosen as national winners.

  • Shama Parveen, a fifth-grade student at Parkwood Hill Intermediate School, was nominated by her teacher, Ms. Allen, and received national recognition for her remarkable success in the Read 180 program.

  • Adelyn Ford, an Indian Springs Middle School fifth-grader, was nominated by her teacher, Ms. Gomez, and was nationally recognized for her achievements in Math 180.

In addition to the national winners, Keller ISD also had notable nominees:

  • Fifth-grader Aleyda Martinez, also from PHIS, was nominated by Ms. Allen for her efforts in the Read 180 program.

  • Mrs. Julie Frazier, a dedicated teacher at Bear Creek Intermediate, was nominated by her campus administrators for her unwavering commitment to helping students overcome academic and personal challenges.

Congratulations to all of our outstanding students and educators who were recognized through the 180 Awards. Your hard work, perseverance, and dedication truly stand out on a national level!
