Keller ISD Education Foundation Grantsgiving Awards Over $125,000 in Grants, PD Scholarships
The Keller ISD Education Foundation surprised 58 educators at 34 campuses with over $125,000 in educator grants and professional development scholarships during their "Grantsgiving" event, November 14-20.
Across four days, Education Foundation staff and board members, accompanied by high school drumlines, set out to surprise this year's award recipients. These grants will directly benefit students by supporting creative, inclusive, and impactful educational initiatives.
From sensory-inclusive classrooms and outdoor musical learning spaces to advanced technology integration and hands-on learning experiences, the awarded projects reflect the dedication and ingenuity of Keller ISD educators.
“The passion and innovation of our teachers continue to inspire us," said Jennifer Vaughn, Board Chair of the Keller ISD Education Foundation. "These grants are a testament to their commitment to creating meaningful, engaging, and enriching opportunities for students. We’re proud to support their efforts to make a lasting impact in our community.”
Highlights of Grant Recipients:
Central HS Feeder Pattern: Projects such as "Mobile Math Lab" (Friendship ES) and a Holocaust field trip (Parkwood Hill Intermediate) showcase efforts to enhance academic engagement and historical understanding.
Fossil Ridge HS Feeder Pattern: Notable projects include "Vibing with Nonfiction" (Fossil Hill Middle) and "Headphones for Education" (Parkview ES), emphasizing literacy and accessible learning tools.
Keller HS Feeder Pattern: Grants such as "Glow Big or Go Home" (Keller High) and "Wiggle, Jump, Explore, and Learn" (Keller-Harvel ES) focus on experiential learning and student well-being.
Timber Creek HS Feeder Pattern: Creative initiatives like a "Mock Grocery Store" (Eagle Ridge ES) and "Campus-Based Enterprise - Plant Shop" (Timber Creek High) bring real-world applications into the classroom.
With projects spanning STEM education, literacy enhancement, sensory-friendly resources, and arts integration, these grants represent a diverse range of educational advancements.
