Keller ISD Announces 2023-24 District Teachers of the Year, Outstanding Campus Administrators

Keller ISD Announces 2023-24 District Teachers of the Year, Outstanding Campus Administrators

Keller ISD is excited to announce Natalie Wood, a music teacher at Basswood Elementary, as its 2023-24 Elementary Teacher of the Year, and Keller Center for Advanced Learning digital electronics teacher Matthew Pitner, as its Secondary Teacher of the Year.

The District celebrated all Campus Teachers of the Year at a special event on April 18. Each of Keller ISD’s 42 campuses named a Teacher of the Year for their school, and after an application review process, five elementary (PreK-6) and five secondary (7-12) teachers were named Finalists. The District Teachers of the Year were selected after an interview process with District administrators and past honorees. Wood and Pitner will now go on to represent Keller ISD in the Region 11 Teacher of the Year contest.

In addition, the 2023-24 Outstanding Campus Administrators were honored. Earlier this year, Keller ISD staff nominated principals and assistant principals in three recognition categories – Champion, Impact, and Rookie of the Year. Congratulations to each of the finalists and honored administrators!
