Joe Baker Named Compass Center's New Principal
Keller ISD is excited to announce that Joe Baker has been named the new Principal at Keller Compass Center.
Baker has been serving as the Director of Student Services in Keller ISD since 2019. Prior to joining Keller ISD, he served as a Secondary Teacher for eight years before serving as a Director of Alternative Education and At-Risk Programming in Kansas for 13 years.
KISD Assistant Superintendent Lindsay Moncrief shared the following about Baker: “Mr. Baker is a compassionate and dedicated servant leader who welcomes all students, especially those who face challenges or have struggled with behavior. With a deep love for education, strong communication skills, and a problem-solving mindset, he consistently supports and uplifts every student and staff member, creating a safe and nurturing environment where growth is always possible.”
Baker holds a Bachelor of Arts from MidAmerica Nazarene University and a Master of Arts in School Leadership from Baker University in Overland Park, Kan.
He will officially begin his transition to this new role throughout July.
