CHS Duo Advances to State Tennis Championships in Mixed Doubles
Zeus Andre Celedonio and Anushka Sanap of Central High School earned a trip to the UIL 6A State tennis championships after a strong showing in mixed doubles at the Region 1 tournament on April 18.
The duo secured their state berth with a hard-fought, three-set victory over Southlake Carroll in the regional final, 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (7-5).
Celedonio and Sanap advanced through a competitive field to clinch one of the top spots out of Region 1, punching their ticket to the state tournament.
They will compete at the UIL Class 6A state championships May 7-8 in San Antonio, where they will represent Central High School against the top mixed doubles teams from across Texas. Good luck, Chargers!
