Board Approves New CFO, Asst. Supt. of Secondary Education, Principals

Keller ISD is excited to announce that its Board of Trustees has approved the hiring of a new Chief Financial Officer, along with the Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Education and the principals at Timberview Middle School and Hidden Lakes Elementary School.  

Pamela Stranathan has been approved as the District's new Chief Financial Officer

Stranathan has been serving as the Executive Director of Operations/Deputy Superintendent for Topeka Public Schools in Kansas. She has a wealth of educational administration experience including eight years as Superintendent of Schools in Gardner (Kan.) Edgerton School District. She has also served as Assistant Superintendent of Business Operations in Emporia (Kan.) Public Schools, along with director positions focusing on curriculum and principal positions at multiple schools. She began her teaching career at Little Elm Middle School.  

Ms. Stranathan earned her Bachelor of Education from Fort Hays State University (Kan.) and her Master of Education from Texas Woman’s University. She is also currently working toward her doctorate with an All But Dissertation (ABD) at the University of Arkansas, with an anticipated completion in May 2026.
 

Dr. Sarah Guerrero has been approved as the District’s new Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Education.

Earlier this year, Dr. Guererro was named Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction after serving as Timberview Middle School Principal since 2022. Prior to joining KISD, she served as Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning in Olathe (Kan.) Unified School District. She also previously served as Assistant Superintendent of Middle School Education following stints as a middle school Principal and Assistant Principal. She began her educational career as a teacher and coach in Gregory-Portland ISD. 

She earned her Master of Arts in School Leadership and her Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Baker University (Kan.), and she holds a Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University Corpus Christi.
 

Michael Keys has been approved as the Principal of Timberview Middle School.

Mr. Keys has served as Interim Principal since the beginning of the school year and has been part of the Timberview leadership team since 2023 as assistant principal. He began his educational career in Keller ISD in 2007 as a teacher and coach. He also served in the U.S. Army for 10 years.   

He earned his Master of Education Administration from Western Governor’s University, and he holds a Bachelor of Science in Ministry and Leadership and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Dallas Christian College.
 

 

Shannon Moss has been approved as the Principal of Hidden Lakes Elementary School.

Ms. Moss has served as Interim Principal since the start of the school year and has been a part of the HLES leadership team since 2019, when she joined Hidden Lakes as Assistant Principal. She began her teaching career in Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD in 2009.  

Ms. Moss earned her Master of Education Administration and Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of Texas at Arlington.
