"Why wouldn’t I want to come back and work for Keller ISD? I grew up here, attending schools on both sides of the district, and along the way I met so many wonderful people. There was always this quiet standard of excellence – whether it came from administrators, teachers, student programs, or the community itself. Keller has always felt like family, and the city has always felt like home.

Having a parent who served as both a teacher and administrator only deepened that connection. From my very first day of kindergarten to the moment I graduated high school to now my 19 years as a teacher, Keller has shaped my life. Other than my years in college preparing to return, this district has always been where I’ve belonged. I’ll never forget how disappointed I was when my student teaching semester fell during a year Keller didn’t have a cadre – it only made me more determined to come back.

For me, returning wasn’t really a decision – it was the only option. I wanted to make a difference in my students’ lives the way my teachers had made a difference in mine. And I wanted my children to grow up in Keller schools, surrounded by the same love, support, and sense of family that I was so fortunate to experience and that Keller still embodies today."
