Now: Timber Creek High and Fossil Ridge High, Campus Bookkeeper

"Keller ISD – and especially Keller High School’s journalism program – gave me the foundation I needed for college and my early career as a sports journalist. But after getting married and having a child, I realized the fast-paced life of journalism wasn’t the life I wanted for my family. When our daughter was ready for kindergarten, moving back to Keller felt like the natural choice – I couldn’t imagine a better place for her to go to school.

I was fortunate to start in the front office at Friendship Elementary, where I gained the skills to grow into a secretary role at Bluebonnet Elementary. I loved my time at Friendship, and when I shared that I hoped to become a secretary in a few years, the secretary there took me under her wing. Thanks to her mentorship, I reached that goal in just two years. Six years later, I was ready for my next step, and now I’m in my second year as a high school campus bookkeeper.

What I love most about Keller ISD is how supported I’ve felt every step of the way. From my first days in the front office to where I am now, I’ve always been encouraged to grow and reminded that what I do truly matters."
