"After experiencing success in several different careers, the best decision I ever made was joining public education in Keller ISD. I came to Texas as a refugee at a young age and grew up learning what it meant to become an American through our public schools. Following my junior year of high school, I enlisted in the U.S. Army. I later returned to complete my senior year and graduated from Keller High School in 1992. I went on to build a career as an entrepreneur, corporate leader, and military trainer, and also pursued a career in law enforcement. Although I achieved my goal of becoming a police officer cadet with the Fort Worth Police Academy, I ultimately decided to serve in another way and become a teacher and coach in the school district that I graduated from.  

Education was never something I planned to pursue as a student, but my life experiences outside the classroom sparked a love for learning and helped shape the heart of a teacher. Those experiences now allow me to share real-world perspective with my students as they prepare for life beyond graduation.

In 2009, I made the decision to join my wife in public education, knowing it was the right choice. We were part of opening Timber Creek High School, and more than seventeen years later, I am still there. Teaching, coaching, and mentoring in my home district has been an incredibly rewarding journey, and it has fulfilled my desire to serve my community in a way I never imagined. I love what I do and plan to remain in Keller ISD until I retire."
