The Keller ISD Board of Trustees is addressing unprecedented financial challenges by considering structural changes to ensure long-term stability for students and educators. At the January 16, 2025, Special Board Meeting, the Board of Trustees discussed the concept of reshaping Keller ISD into two separate districts – Keller ISD and a new independent school district whose name is yet to be determined. Unlike neighboring districts that are cutting back on resources, the Keller ISD Board is actively exploring innovative solutions to address financial and operational challenges while maintaining educational quality and support. This proposed restructuring aims to increase efficiency, enhance local control, and ensure the district continues to prioritize student success, teacher support, and community involvement. Trustees are committed to keeping the community informed and engaged as they conduct additional research and gather input to evaluate the feasibility of this idea..
